To add categories for products in the table, entering the product code (for the products for which the categories should be added) and the corresponding category in the designated fields is required.
In the Category column, subcategories should be separated by a comma (,). For instance, if there is a ''Pencil'' as a category, followed by ''Crayons'' and ''Red'' as subcategories, then the correct way to enter categories and subcategories would be the following - Pencil, Crayons, Red (example displayed below).
If one product should be added to two or more categories, such categories must be separated by $ (dollar sign). In case of having ''School'' as a category with two subcategories - Primary school and First grade, in the Category column the following should be entered: Pencils, Crayons, Red, $School, Primary School, First grade (example displayed below)
Once categories are entered in the table, save it.
Now, the table can be imported by going to Settings/Data import
Then, in point number 3, insert the table and import the data
1. select the table that should be imported
2. for data type, select Products - change
3. Import the table
As a result, the categories will be imported for products.
