2. Activating Microlocation



In Settings, for Warehouse, tick ''Microlocation'' and save changes.




3. Adding Microlocation


In Settings/Registers select Microlocations and add them there.

In the end, save changes.



4. Selecting microlocation  



On the receiving order, assign the microlocation to the product when receiving it; in dialogue where data about the quantity of received product is entered, select at which microlocation the product will be stored in the warehouse





In addition, when the product is added to the invoice or selected on the delivery note, select at which microlocation the stock will decrease.




5. Overview of microlocation in the warehouse


To check at which microlocation in the warehouse the product is located, choose Detailed for Stock Display. This way, on the right-hand side, the microlocation will be displayed



6. Removing microlocation


If microlocation is already used and its functionality should be turned off, that can be done via MK Support. However, that means the following:

  • all microlocations will be turned off for all products and in the future, it will not be possible to add them anymore
  • on all existing documents for the previous years, microlocations will be removed - as if they were never added.
  • if microlocations were used to separate purchasing prices of goods, from now onwards, for such goods, the FIFO method will apply.
  • if documents (such as delivery notes) had microlocations displayed after being issued, from now onwards it will not be possible to display them anymore
  • despite documents being modified as a whole, nowhere is recorded that microlocations were removed.

In fact, after executing these procedures, using microlocations in the past will almost not be visible at all.


At MK Support, the following procedures are performed:

  • making sure that no documents will arrive in the system anymore
  • through a special method called remove_wh_tracking, microlocations are removed from all documents, and recalculation of the warehouse is performed
  • if the intermediate calculation of the warehouse is activated, all intersections should be calculated via the documentLockRecalculate method
  • removing records for microlocations in Settings -> Registers
  • removing the record - Specifying microlocations in additional settings/Order Management
  • deactivating microlocations in Your Company for your firm
  • technical support removes default microlocation for all warehouses. In addition, it also verifies whether it is removed from the ''companies'' table.
