Automatic label creation

Automatic label creation is intended for users who want to automate order processing. You can combine it with automatic invoice creation to automate the entire process.

1. How it works

MetaKocka automatically creates labels for orders with the Ready to ship status and saves them on the order. When you want to print the labels, click Print labels:

You get the labels as a PDF right away, because they have already been created with the delivery service and you do not have to wait for them.

When you click Print labels, the orders whose labels you printed move to the status selected in this setting:

The status changes as a safety measure. New labels for orders with the Ready to ship status are created continuously, and the status change prevents the same label from being printed more than once.

2. Settings

Turn the feature on in Additional Settings / Order Management / Settings.

Delivery services: choose the delivery services for which labels are created automatically.

• All: all delivery services
• Selected: only the selected delivery services
• Except selected: all delivery services except the selected ones

Creation time limit: enter the hours during which labels are created for orders with the Ready to ship status, for example 4-7,13-22.

Limit by item code: you can limit automatic creation by the items in the order. Choose All (all items), Selected (only the selected items) or Except selected (all items except the selected ones), and enter the item codes in the Item codes field, separated by commas:
PRODUCTA,PRODUCTB

Delivery services only at selected hours

Some delivery services do not accept labels being created throughout the day, a few at a time and each time in a separate batch. For these delivery services you can set labels to be created only at selected hours.

In the Delivery services only at selected hours row, select the delivery services and enter the hours in the Creation hours field, separated by commas, for example 7,14. For the selected delivery services, labels are created only at these hours, for all orders that are waiting in the Ready to ship status at that time. For the other delivery services, labels are created continuously, as described above.

If you enter an hour at which automatic label creation does not run, the setting warns you.

3. PDF label preparation by delivery service

PDF preparation complements automatic label creation. The PDF with the labels is prepared in advance, so you do not have to wait for it and simply print it by clicking Print.

At the selected times, the labels of the selected delivery services are combined into one PDF, which is saved in Order Management, where it waits to be printed:

In the same settings block, select the delivery services for PDF preparation and enter the times in the Preparation times field, for example 14:45,15:00 (see the image above).
