Aside from sending notifications via e-mail, Order Management package also supports informing customers via SMS messages.

1. Adding a new event (trigger for sending SMS notifications)


After activating SMS notifications, a new trigger should be added in Additional settings/Notifications, determining conditions for when the SMS should be triggered. 



1. Click on Additional settings


When additional settings open, click on ''Notifications''/''Definitions'' and then ''New trigger''.


2. Configure the event (trigger) in Notifications




The event (trigger) shown below has the following structure:


1) Activated when changing the order status (status change can be either manual or automatic through delivery service)

2) When status is changed to the ''Shipped'' value, Ko se status spremni v vrednost "Odpremljen" se bo SMS poslala izbrana obvestila


3) Notifications will be sent with 10 minutes delay


Conditions for sending notifications (4-7): 

Notifications will be sent if and only if all of the conditions below are fulfilled. In all four instances, additional points may be added, and they can also be left blank. 




Additional conditions for sending notifications:

Here, additional conditions for sending notifications can be specified by specifying a key-value couple, which must / must not be present in the order's metadata.

Example: 

  Notification will be sent if all the conditions below are met. :

    a) Metadata contains key couple - value: key1 - value1

    b) Meta data must not contain key couple - value: key2 - value2

    c) Order total must be greater than 10,99

    d) Metadata contains key3, whose value is lower than 99,99


2. Settings and specifying definitions:

Sending SMS should be turned on and the following should be specified:

 


  • Provider – NTH or InfoBip are providers
  • Sender ID – when sending SMS abroad, ID »InfoSMS« can be set up, or ID of senders is sent (i.e. company name), which needs to be registered with the provider beforehand (for some countries, this service is chargeable- contact support). If you select InfoBip as your provider and leave the field empty, with a previously registered phone number, an SMS will be sent with two-way communication, which means that the customer can reply via SMS and that reply can be visible in MetaKocka.   • Template name – enter preferred name
  • Content - 160 characters (including spaces) at most, in case of having more characters, more SMS messages comprised into one will be sent (with each SMS being charged). Content of SMS message, for which dynamic content may be used, is entered in the same way as it was in Mandrill.

By specifying definitions, it is possible to indicate at what time should the SMS be sent:




  • Repeat on: enables setting up periodic sending of SMS notifications, which will continue until the order status is changed to one of the statuses specified in the »Do not send« field.
  • Do not send: enables specifying the order status for which SMS notifications will not be sent
  • Skip Saturdays and Sundays: if you activate this function, SMS messages will not be sent on Saturdays and Sundays, but rather get in the queue for sending from Monday. 
  • Send between hours: specify between which hours SMS message will be sent, if hours are not specified, SMS messages will begin with sending from 8 in the morning onwards. 
  • Do not send on date: two options can be specified here, »Holiday« select the country for which no SMS should be sent during holidays, »Selected dates« specify preferred dates for which no SMS should be sent; SMS notification will be sent the next working day at the previously indicated time
  • Product SKU: SMS is sent only for the orders that contain selected SKU




3. Overview of SMS notifications sent


Sent SMS can be viewed in the ''Sent SMS'' and ''Amount'' tabs, where SMS sending costs are displayed, while below the current SMS pricing can be found.
